Cancellation Policy

At Breath of Savanna Safaris, we understand that travel plans may occasionally change. To ensure a smooth cancellation process, all cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and will only become effective once they have been received and acknowledged by Breath of Savanna Safaris.

Cancellation Charges

The following cancellation charges apply based on the number of days before the scheduled arrival date:

61 Days or More Before Arrival
25% cancellation fee

36–60 Days Before Arrival
50% cancellation fee

15–35 Days Before Arrival
75% cancellation fee

14 Days or Less Before Arrival (Including No-Shows)
100% cancellation fee

Non-Refundable Services

Please note that certain travel services may be non-refundable once booked and confirmed. These may include accommodations, flights, gorilla permits, park fees, and other third-party services. Any applicable non-refundable supplier charges will be deducted from the refund amount.

Refund Processing

Where a refund is applicable, it will be processed within 14 working days following confirmation of the cancellation. Refunds will be subject to deductions for any applicable bank charges, administrative costs, and non-refundable supplier fees.

Cancellation by Breath of Savanna Safaris Limited

Breath of Savanna Safaris Limited makes every effort to operate all confirmed safaris as planned. However, in exceptional circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to cancel, postpone, modify, or reschedule a safari.

Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, force majeure events such as natural disasters, severe weather conditions, political unrest, government restrictions, pandemics, changes in park or conservation authority regulations, security concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances that may affect the safe or practical operation of the safari.

Alternative Safari or Travel Arrangement

Where we are required to cancel a safari before its commencement, we will, where reasonably possible:

• Offer the client an alternative safari or travel arrangement of comparable value, subject to availability and mutual agreement.
• Where an alternative arrangement is not possible or acceptable, handle any refund due in accordance with the applicable booking and cancellation terms agreed at the time of booking.

Additional or Consequential Costs

Breath of Savanna Safaris Limited will not be responsible for additional or consequential costs incurred by the client as a result of a cancellation or change beyond our control.

These may include, but are not limited to:

• International or domestic flights
• Visas
• Travel insurance
• Accommodation booked independently
• Transportation
• Other personal expenses

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, delays, and other unforeseen circumstances before travelling.

Our priority is always the safety, comfort, and overall experience of our guests, and we will make every reasonable effort to find the best possible alternative whenever circumstances prevent us from operating the safari as originally planned.
