Day 1:Arusha – Tarangire National Park - Karatu
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your professional safari guide and transferred directly towards Tarangire National Park. Depending on your arrival time, your packed picnic lunch will be arranged in advance and collected by your safari guide, allowing you to proceed comfortably without any unnecessary delays.
Upon arrival at Tarangire, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive through the park, famous for its majestic baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Keep your eyes open for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes and a variety of bird species, with the possibility of encountering lions and other predators.
Enjoy your picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within the park, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Tarangire.
After lunch, continue your game drive before departing the park and driving to Karatu, where you will check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy a relaxing evening after an exciting first day on safari.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ndutu Area
After breakfast at your lodge/camp in Karatu, depart at approximately 7:30 AM with your professional safari guide and begin your scenic journey towards the Ndutu Area, home to migrating wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, located within the greater Serengeti ecosystem and renowned for its abundant wildlife and spectacular seasonal concentrations of the Great Wildebeest Migration.
Enjoy the beautiful changing landscapes as you travel from the Karatu highlands towards the vast open plains of Ndutu. Along the way, your guide may make occasional wildlife stops, allowing you to begin experiencing Tanzania’s incredible wildlife even before reaching your camp.
Arrive at your Ndutu lodge or camp around lunchtime, where you will check in and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at the camp. Take some time to relax and refresh before heading out for your afternoon adventure.
After lunch, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive through the Ndutu Area. Explore the open plains and surrounding woodlands in search of large herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles and other plains game. Ndutu is also renowned for its exceptional predator sightings, with opportunities to encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and other wildlife.
Continue your game drive until the late afternoon, when you return to your camp to relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the Ndutu wilderness.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive Ndutu Area
Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness and enjoy an early breakfast at Heritage Ndutu Camp, your comfortable accommodation in the heart of the Ndutu Area.
Set out on an early morning game drive, when the savannah comes alive with wildlife activity. Explore the vast Ndutu plains and surrounding woodlands in search of large herds of wildebeest and zebras, together with elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles and an impressive variety of birdlife.
Ndutu is renowned for its exceptional predator sightings, so keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. Your experienced safari guide will carefully follow the wildlife and help you discover the fascinating interactions between predators and prey across this remarkable ecosystem.
Return to Heritage Ndutu Camp for lunch, allowing time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the camp.
In the afternoon, head out once again for a relaxing afternoon game drive, exploring different sections of the Ndutu Area and taking advantage of the beautiful golden light of the late afternoon. Alternatively, you may choose an optional guided walking safari, subject to availability and local regulations, offering a more intimate experience of the African bush as you learn about animal tracks, plants, birdlife, insects and the smaller wonders of the savannah.
As the day draws to a close, return to Heritage Ndutu Camp and enjoy the tranquillity of the wilderness. Relax around camp and take in the spectacular atmosphere of Ndutu as the sun sets over the plains.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive Ndutu Area – Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp
Rise early and enjoy breakfast at Heritage Ndutu Camp before setting out with your experienced safari guide for another unforgettable day exploring the Ndutu Area.
Begin with an early morning game drive, when the savannah is alive with activity and wildlife is at its most active. Explore the vast Ndutu plains in search of large herds of wildebeest and zebras, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes and abundant birdlife. The area is also famous for its predators, offering excellent opportunities to encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas.
At midday, enjoy a packed picnic lunch prepared by Heritage Ndutu Camp at a designated picnic site, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Ndutu wilderness.
After lunch, continue with a relaxing afternoon game drive across the Ndutu plains, exploring different areas in search of wildlife and enjoying the changing colours of the African landscape. Alternatively, you may choose an optional guided walking safari, subject to availability and local regulations, offering a closer and more intimate experience of the bush as you learn about animal tracks, plants, birdlife, insects and the smaller wonders of the ecosystem.
Later in the afternoon, bid farewell to the Ndutu plains and begin your scenic drive towards Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, enjoying the changing landscapes as you approach the Ngorongoro highlands.
Arrive at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp in the evening, check in and unwind after an exciting day in the wilderness. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the camp, followed by a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by the beauty of the Ngorongoro highlands.

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha
Rise early and enjoy breakfast at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp before embarking on a scenic drive towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations.
Descend into the crater for an unforgettable morning game drive across its vast floor. Surrounded by the dramatic walls of the ancient volcanic caldera, explore one of Tanzania’s richest wildlife habitats, with opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. The crater’s lakes and wetlands also attract a remarkable variety of birdlife, including flamingos.
Picnic Lunch at the Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within the crater, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of this natural wonder.
After lunch, begin your ascent from the crater and continue with a scenic transfer towards Arusha.
Depending on your flight schedule, proceed to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight home. As your Tanzanian safari comes to an end, bid farewell to your guide and the magnificent landscapes and wildlife of northern Tanzania, taking with you unforgettable memories of your African adventure.
