Day 1:Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater
7:30 AM: After breakfast, your professional safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha with picnic lunch boxes, which you arranged from your booked hotel the previous day. Settle into your private 4×4 safari Land Cruiser and begin your scenic journey towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The drive takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania, passing through Maasai communities and rolling highland scenery as you make your way towards the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Upon reaching the crater rim, pause to admire the breathtaking panoramic views over the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders. You will then descend approximately 600 metres into the crater for an unforgettable game drive across its spectacular floor.
The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. The diverse habitats within the crater create exceptional opportunities for wildlife viewing in a relatively compact area.
Picnic Lunch at the Ngorongoro Crater
Around midday, enjoy a packed picnic lunch at one of the designated picnic sites within the Ngorongoro Crater, surrounded by the spectacular scenery and wildlife of this extraordinary ecosystem.
Continue your game drive through the crater before ascending the crater walls in the late afternoon. As you leave this extraordinary natural amphitheatre behind, enjoy the changing colours of the landscape and, if conditions permit, the spectacular African sunset.
Later, proceed to your selected lodge or tented camp in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater (Karatu) – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast at your lodge/camp, depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and begin your scenic journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. As you leave the Ngorongoro Highlands behind, enjoy the spectacular landscapes and vast open plains of northern Tanzania.
En route, stop at the renowned Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most significant archaeological and palaeoanthropological sites. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the remarkable fossil discoveries that have helped scientists understand early human evolution, ancient cultures and the development of early tools.
Continue your journey towards Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most famous safari destination. Upon arrival at your selected lodge or tented camp, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and take some time to relax after the morning’s journey.
In the afternoon, embark on your first Serengeti game drive, venturing into the vast wilderness in search of its incredible wildlife. The Serengeti is home to large herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, as well as magnificent predators including lions, leopards and cheetahs. Keep your camera ready, as every turn can reveal a new and unforgettable wildlife encounter.
As the afternoon comes to an end, return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and a relaxing evening, surrounded by the timeless beauty and sounds of the African wilderness.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park Full Day Game Drive
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your camp/lodge before setting out for an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. The early hours offer some of the best wildlife-viewing opportunities, as animals are generally more active before the heat of the day.
After the morning game drive, continue with a full-day game drive across the Serengeti, exploring its vast plains, woodland areas and seasonal wildlife habitats.
The Serengeti is renowned for its exceptional concentration of wildlife. Keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Your experienced Tanzanian driver-guide will use their local knowledge to seek out wildlife and provide insights into the animals, landscape and ecosystem.
Picnic Lunch in the Serengeti
Enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within or around the park, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Serengeti. After lunch, continue exploring the park in search of more wildlife and memorable photographic opportunities.
As the afternoon progresses, continue your game drive before returning to your camp/lodge in the late afternoon or early evening.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park– Arusha (Flight)
Wake up early for your final morning game drive through the magnificent Serengeti National Park. This is your last opportunity to explore the endless plains and capture memorable sightings of the Serengeti’s incredible wildlife, from elephants and giraffes to herds of zebras and wildebeest. With luck, you may even spot a leopard resting high in a tree or lions beginning their morning activities.
After the game drive, return to your lodge or camp for breakfast and some time to freshen up before your onward journey.
Later, transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your scheduled safari flight to Arusha. As you take to the skies, enjoy spectacular aerial views of the Serengeti’s vast plains—a truly breathtaking farewell to Tanzania’s wilderness.
Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), depending on your onward travel arrangements.
For guests continuing their journey to Zanzibar, we can arrange a seamless transfer to the airport for your connecting flight and relaxing beach extension.
As your safari comes to an end, take with you the unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s extraordinary landscapes, incredible wildlife and warm hospitality.
