Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your Tanzania safari begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, arriving at approximately 12:30 PM. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will be met by a Breath of Savanna Safaris professional safari guide, who will brief you on the journey ahead before departing for Tarangire National Park.
The drive to Tarangire takes approximately three hours, offering an opportunity to enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the bustling surroundings of Arusha into the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania.
After entering Tarangire National Park, your safari adventure begins with an afternoon game drive. Known for its spectacular scenery, ancient baobab trees and abundant wildlife, Tarangire is particularly famous for its large herds of elephants.
The Tarangire River is one of the park’s most important water sources, attracting wildlife throughout the year and especially during the dry season. As you explore the park’s open grasslands, seasonal swamps and woodland areas, keep watch for elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, impalas, buffalo and a variety of other wildlife.
With a little luck, you may also encounter some of Tarangire’s predators, including lions and leopards. The park is also home to several less commonly seen species, making every game drive an exciting opportunity for discovery.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by the remarkable scenery of Tarangire, before continuing your afternoon game drive. Your guide will use their local knowledge and experience to help you discover the best wildlife viewing opportunities while sharing fascinating insights into the park and its inhabitants.
As the afternoon comes to an end, you will leave the park and continue to your lodge or camp for dinner and a relaxing evening in the heart of Tanzania’s safari country.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park– Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is particularly active.
Continue exploring the park as you search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and predators. Your professional driver-guide will help you discover the park’s hidden wildlife and explain the ecology of this fascinating ecosystem.
After the game drive, depart Tarangire and drive towards Lake Manyara National Park.
The journey takes approximately three hours and passes through rural communities, traditional Maasai settlements and the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania.
Upon arrival in the Lake Manyara area, you will proceed to your lodge/camp for lunch and some time to relax after the morning journey. Take the opportunity to settle in, refresh and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before heading out for your afternoon safari.
Later in the afternoon, you will set out for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but remarkably diverse wildlife destination. The park features lush groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodlands and the scenic shores of Lake Manyara, creating a variety of habitats for wildlife.
During the game drive, keep watch for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and numerous antelope species. Lake Manyara is also known for its occasional sightings of tree-climbing lions, which may be found resting in the branches of acacia trees.
The park is equally rewarding for bird enthusiasts, with a wide variety of resident and migratory species. Depending on the season and water levels, you may see colourful birds such as the lilac-breasted roller, birds of prey and flocks of flamingos around the lake.
As the afternoon comes to an end, you will leave the park and return to your lodge/camp for dinner and a relaxing evening, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park– Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a final morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, offering another opportunity to discover the park’s remarkable wildlife and diverse landscapes.
Watch for elephants moving through the woodland, troops of baboons along the forest edges, and giraffes and buffaloes grazing in the open areas. Your professional driver-guide will help you spot and identify the wildlife along the way.
After your game drive, exit the park and proceed towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a scenic drive of approximately 2–3 hours.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp in the Ngorongoro/Karatu area and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch, followed by some time to relax and take in the spectacular scenery of the Ngorongoro highlands.
The afternoon is at leisure, allowing you to unwind and prepare for tomorrow’s highlight: an unforgettable game drive inside the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, check out and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable morning game drive.
Upon arrival at the crater, proceed with the descent approximately 600 metres into the crater floor and begin exploring one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.
The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and a variety of antelope. The dramatic crater walls create a unique natural setting and provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of this ancient volcanic landscape.
After lunch, continue your Ngorongoro Crater game drive before ascending from the crater and proceeding towards the legendary Serengeti National Park.
As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape gradually opens into vast golden plains stretching towards the horizon. Keep your eyes open for wildlife along the way, as animals may be encountered even before reaching your accommodation.
Continue to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and your overnight stay, ready for a full day of exploration in the Serengeti tomorrow.

Keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Your experienced Tanzanian driver-guide will use their local knowledge to seek out wildlife and provide insights into the animals, landscape and ecosystem.
Picnic Lunch in the Serengeti
Enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within or around the park, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Serengeti. After lunch, continue exploring the park in search of more wildlife and memorable photographic opportunities.
As the afternoon progresses, continue your game drive before returning to your camp/lodge in the late afternoon or early evening.
