Day 1: Entebbe– Lake Mburo National Park

· Your Ugandan adventure begins with a warm welcome from Breath of Savanna Safaris. You will be picked up from Entebbe International Airport (before 2:00 PM) or from your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala by your professional, English-speaking safari driver-guide.

· After a short briefing, we will set off towards Lake Mburo National Park, enjoying the changing scenery as we travel from the bustling urban areas into the beautiful countryside of western Uganda.

· Lake Mburo is one of Uganda’s most scenic savannah parks and a wonderful introduction to the country’s wildlife. Although it is one of Uganda’s smaller national parks, it is rich in biodiversity and is particularly known for its zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks and hippos. The park also offers excellent birdwatching, with hundreds of bird species recorded, while lucky visitors may even encounter the elusive leopard.

· Upon arrival, we will proceed to your lodge or camp for check-in and some time to relax. Depending on your arrival time and road conditions, we may head out for a late-afternoon game drive, giving you your first opportunity to explore the park and spot wildlife as the savannah comes alive in the cooler evening hours.

· If time does not allow for an evening game drive, you will enjoy a relaxed evening at your accommodation, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Ugandan wilderness.

· Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis

Day 2: Walking Safari In Lake Mburo – Queen Elizabeth National Park

· Wake up early and enjoy a hot breakfast before heading to the Lake Mburo National Park Visitor Centre, where you will meet your armed park ranger-guide for an unforgettable walking safari.

· Beginning at approximately 7:00 AM, set off on foot into the wilderness for a 2–3-hour guided nature walk. Exploring Lake Mburo on foot offers a completely different perspective from a traditional vehicle game drive, allowing you to experience the sights, sounds and smaller details of the African bush at a much more intimate level.

· As you walk through the park, your ranger will help you safely observe wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas and other antelope species. Along the way, there will also be opportunities to discover things that are easily missed from a safari vehicle, including animal tracks, birds, butterflies, insects, plants and other fascinating signs of life.

· After this immersive wilderness experience, return to your accommodation for some time to freshen up and complete check-out. We will then depart Lake Mburo and continue towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying the changing scenery as we travel through southwestern Uganda.

· We expect to arrive at your lodge around lunchtime. After lunch and a short rest, prepare for your first wildlife exploration in Queen Elizabeth National Park with an afternoon game drive. Your guide will take you into the park in search of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, antelopes and, with some luck, lions and other predators.

· Optional Experience – Chimpanzee Tracking

· For guests interested in adding a primate experience to the day, chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest Reserve can be arranged at an additional cost of USD 130 per person. Since Kalinzu is conveniently located along the route towards Queen Elizabeth, this can be incorporated into the day’s journey, subject to timing and availability.

· Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

· Rise early and enjoy breakfast at your lodge before setting out for an exciting morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, one of the most renowned wildlife areas within Queen Elizabeth National Park.

· The open savannah plains provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, especially during the cooler morning hours when animals are most active. With your experienced safari guide, keep watch for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, antelopes and other wildlife moving across the plains. With some luck, you may also encounter the elusive leopard resting in the grasslands or moving through the surrounding vegetation.

· After an exciting morning exploring the park, return to your lodge for some time to relax and enjoy lunch.

· In the afternoon, head out for one of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s most memorable experiences—a two-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake George and Lake Edward and is famous for its remarkable concentration of wildlife along the shores.

· As you cruise gently along the channel, you will have wonderful opportunities to observe large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes coming to the water to drink and cool off. The channel is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with numerous water and woodland species often seen along the shoreline, including the striking African skimmer.

· The relaxed pace of the boat allows you to enjoy the wildlife from a unique perspective while capturing beautiful photographs of the animals and surrounding landscapes.

· After the cruise, return to your lodge, freshen up and spend the remainder of the evening at leisure. Relax by the lodge, enjoy its facilities and reflect on an unforgettable day of wildlife exploration in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

· Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis

Day 4: Kasenyi Plains – Isasha Sector - Bwindi

· After an early breakfast, we set out for another rewarding morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains. The early hours offer excellent wildlife-viewing opportunities as the savannah comes alive.

· With your experienced safari guide, keep a keen eye out for Cape buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, antelopes and lions. Leopards may also be encountered, although these elusive cats are naturally more difficult to spot. Every game drive is different, and the excitement lies in never knowing what may appear around the next bend.

· We will then continue towards the Ishasha Sector, located in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park and renowned for its famous tree-climbing lions. Seeing these magnificent cats resting high in the branches of large fig or acacia trees is one of Uganda’s most unique wildlife experiences.

· While sightings cannot be guaranteed, your guide will carefully search the area for these iconic lions. If you are fortunate enough to find them resting in the trees, you will have an incredible opportunity to observe and photograph them from a unique perspective. Ishasha is also home to plenty of other wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, topis, Uganda kobs and various antelope species.

· After exploring Ishasha, we will leave the park and continue towards your accommodation near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through some of southwestern Uganda’s beautiful landscapes, gradually bringing you closer to the rainforest and the mountain gorilla habitat.

· Upon arrival, check in and enjoy a relaxed evening at your lodge. With the physically demanding gorilla trekking experience awaiting you the following morning, the remainder of the day is intentionally kept free for rest and preparation.

· Take some time to unwind, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and prepare for one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters of your lifetime.

· Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi – Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi

· Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari—an unforgettable encounter with the magnificent mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

· After an early breakfast, prepare your packed lunch and meet your safari driver-guide for the transfer to the park’s ranger station. Here, you will receive a detailed briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) team on the gorilla trekking guidelines, safety precautions and responsible behavior while in the forest. You will also be assigned to a gorilla trekking group.

· The trek begins at approximately 8:00 AM, accompanied by experienced park ranger-guides and fellow trekkers. The journey through Bwindi’s ancient rainforest can be physically demanding, with steep slopes, dense vegetation and, depending on the conditions, muddy and slippery trails. However, every step is rewarded by the anticipation of finding one of the forest’s remarkable gorilla families.

· The duration of the trek is unpredictable and can take approximately 3 to 8 hours or more, depending on the location and movements of the gorillas. Once your assigned gorilla family is located, you will have up to one hour to quietly observe these incredible primates in their natural habitat. Watching them interact, feed, groom and care for one another at such close range is a truly extraordinary experience that you will remember for a lifetime.

· After completing your trek, return to the ranger station where you will receive your gorilla trekking certificate, a special keepsake commemorating this remarkable wildlife encounter.

· You will then rejoin your safari vehicle and continue to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most beautiful highland destinations. Surrounded by lush, terraced hillsides rising to approximately 2,200–2,478 metres above sea level, the lake is renowned for its tranquil waters and 29 picturesque islands, each with its own shape, character and story.

· Arrive at your accommodation, check in and unwind as you take in the spectacular scenery and peaceful atmosphere of Lake Bunyonyi.

· Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis

· Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge/camp while taking in the breathtaking views across the tranquil waters of Lake Bunyonyi, with its lush green hills and beautiful islands creating the perfect setting for your final morning in southwestern Uganda.

· If your international flight is scheduled for later in the evening, you may choose to make the most of your time at Lake Bunyonyi with an optional canoe excursion at an additional cost. Paddle gently across the calm waters, admire the surrounding terraced hills and islands, and experience the peaceful beauty of one of Uganda’s most scenic lakes before beginning your journey back to Entebbe.

· After breakfast and any optional activity, check out and meet your safari driver-guide for the scenic drive back to Entebbe. The journey offers a final opportunity to enjoy Uganda’s beautiful countryside as you make your way towards the airport.

· Depending on your flight schedule and road conditions, you will arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening, allowing sufficient time for your onward flight.
