Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha with picnic lunch boxes and begin your scenic journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, travelling through the spectacular landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Upon reaching the Serengeti and completing the necessary park formalities at Naabi Hill Gate, your safari adventure truly begins. Enter the vast plains of the Serengeti and enjoy your first game drive, with opportunities to encounter some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife in their natural habitat.
The Serengeti is renowned for its abundant wildlife and is home to impressive populations of lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, elands, impalas, warthogs, and many other species. The park also supports an extraordinary diversity of birdlife, making every game drive a rewarding experience for wildlife and nature enthusiasts.
Continue your game drive through the Serengeti as you soak in the breathtaking scenery and timeless rhythm of the African wilderness, before proceeding to your lodge or camp for a well-deserved evening of relaxation.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park Full Day Game Drive
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your camp/lodge before setting out for an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. The early hours offer some of the best wildlife-viewing opportunities, as animals are generally more active before the heat of the day.
After the morning game drive, continue with a full-day game drive across the Serengeti, exploring its vast plains, woodland areas and seasonal wildlife habitats.
The Serengeti is renowned for its exceptional concentration of wildlife. Keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Your experienced Tanzanian driver-guide will use their local knowledge to seek out wildlife and provide insights into the animals, landscape and ecosystem.
PICNIC LUNCH IN THE SERENGETI
Enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within or around the park, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Serengeti. After lunch, continue exploring the park in search of more wildlife and memorable photographic opportunities.
As the afternoon progresses, continue your game drive before returning to your camp/lodge in the late afternoon or early evening.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park– Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu
After breakfast at your camp/lodge, check out and depart from Serengeti National Park with your picnic lunch boxes, enjoying a game drive en route as you make your way towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Continue towards Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most important archaeological and paleoanthropological sites. Upon arrival, visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum and archaeological site, where you will learn about significant discoveries that have contributed to our understanding of early human evolution.
After the visit, continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, descend approximately 600 metres into the crater floor and begin your Ngorongoro Crater game drive, exploring one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.
The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, and you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with some luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. The spectacular crater landscape provides an unforgettable setting for wildlife viewing and photography.
PICNIC LUNCH AT THE CRATER
Enjoy your packed picnic lunch at a designated picnic area within the crater, surrounded by the dramatic scenery and wildlife of this unique ecosystem.
After lunch, continue with your crater game drive, exploring more of this incredible natural amphitheatre and searching for additional wildlife encounters.
Later, ascend the steep crater walls and, once back at the crater rim, continue by road towards Karatu, a charming town located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Arrive in Karatu in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge and enjoy a well-deserved evening of relaxation after an exciting day of wildlife, history and exploration.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 5: Ngorongoro (Karatu)– Arusha
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at your lodge in Karatu, with time to unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings of the Ngorongoro highlands.
Later, depart Karatu and drive to Arusha, enjoying the changing scenery along the way. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to either Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), depending on your flight arrangements, for your onward journey.
