Day 1: Zanzibar – Serengeti National Park
Morning: Flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti
Your Tanzanian adventure begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park. As the aircraft leaves Zanzibar behind, enjoy spectacular views of the Tanzanian landscape before landing in the heart of one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations.
Upon arrival, you will meet your professional Breath of Savanna Safaris guide and begin your first game drive in the Serengeti.
Afternoon: Serengeti Game Drive
The Serengeti is renowned for its vast open plains and extraordinary concentration of wildlife. During your afternoon exploration, keep your eyes open for large herds of wildebeest and zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species.
The park is also home to some of Africa’s most impressive predators. With a little luck, you may encounter lions resting on the plains, cheetahs scanning the grasslands for prey, or a leopard concealed among the trees.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your safari before continuing your exploration through the afternoon. Your guide will use their knowledge of the park and wildlife movements to help you make the most of your time in the Serengeti.
Evening: Lodge/Camp & Overnight
As the sun begins to descend over the plains, you will proceed to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and your first night beneath the African wilderness.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park Full Day Game Drive
Early Morning: Game Drive
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your camp/lodge before setting out for an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. The early hours offer some of the best wildlife-viewing opportunities, as animals are generally more active before the heat of the day.
After the morning game drive, continue with a full-day game drive across the Serengeti, exploring its vast plains, woodland areas, and seasonal wildlife habitats.
The Serengeti is renowned for its exceptional concentration of wildlife. Keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Your experienced Tanzanian driver-guide will use their local knowledge to seek out wildlife and provide insights into the animals, landscape, and ecosystem.
Picnic Lunch in the Serengeti
Enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within or around the park, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Serengeti.
After lunch, continue exploring the park in search of more wildlife and memorable photographic opportunities.
Late Afternoon: Return to Camp/Lodge
As the afternoon progresses, continue your game drive before returning to your camp/lodge in the late afternoon or early evening.
Dinner and Overnight at your preferred Lodge/Camp on Full Board Basis.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park– Zanzibar (Flight)
Early Morning: Final Game Drive
Rise early this morning for your final game drive in the Serengeti. The early hours offer a wonderful opportunity to experience the park as it comes alive, with cooler temperatures and wildlife often active across the plains.
As you explore with your professional safari guide, keep watch for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and other wildlife. Your final game drive provides one last opportunity to capture photographs and enjoy the magnificent landscapes of the Serengeti before your safari comes to an end.
Morning: Breakfast & Check-Out
After the morning game drive, return to your lodge or camp for a well-deserved breakfast. Take some time to freshen up and enjoy the surroundings before checking out.
You will then be driven to the Serengeti airstrip in good time for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar.
As you leave the Serengeti behind, reflect on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and spectacular landscapes experienced during your safari.
Afternoon: Flight to Zanzibar & Hotel Transfer
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your beach hotel, where you can continue your holiday with time to relax and enjoy the beautiful Indian Ocean coastline.
