The Aberdare National Park is a misty, forested highland paradise known for its scenic waterfalls, bamboo forests, and mountain peaks. It’s home to elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and the rare bongo antelope. The park is also known for tree lodges that offer nighttime game viewing by waterholes.
Located 160 km north of Nairobi, Aberdare can be reached by road (3–4 hours) via Nyeri or by air to Nanyuki Airstrip.
