Terms and Conditions

Payment:

A deposit of 30% is required on bookings of any tour arrangement; the balance is to be paid before commencement of the tour. The deposit may be forfeited in case of cancellations and amendments due to bookings already done at respectful lodges/ hotels/ camps. 

Luggage:

Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles within East Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24″x 17″x 7″ are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly advised). Luggage limit of one soft bag per person during travel in Kenya/Tanzania. Hard cases should be avoided as they cannot fit in safari vehicles.

Baggage on Internal Scheduled Flights: if applicable, baggage allowance is 15 kg per person, Extra luggage will be charged each kilo basis subject to availability of space. 

Transportation & Driver/Guides:

Non-A/C Vehicles are used for transfers in Nairobi and on Safari in Kenya & Tanzania

All clients on safari are guaranteed of window seats. The company reserves the right to employ the service of subcontractors. Trained English-speaking drivers/guides are provided unless any passenger specially requests a professional courier, in which extra charge will be levied. 

Passports and Visa:

Passports should be valid at least 6 months beyond period of stay. It is the duty of the client to check visa requirement for the travel.

Missed or Delayed Flights:

Missed or delayed flight can lead to changes in itinerary and at client’s expense should the case arise. 

Ban on plastics bags in Kenya and Tanzania:

This is to inform you that Kenya and Tanzania have enforced a ban on the use of plastic bags. All guests traveling into Kenya with duty free plastic bags shall be required to leave the bags at the entry points and seek alternative carrier bags. We request that you do not carry plastic bags whilst visiting Kenya and Tanzania as there are penalties for those caught with them. Kindly use cloth bags. 

Liability:

The company and its agents act only as agents of the passenger in all matters relating to tours. The hazards of travelling may inevitably give rise to some risks and dangers. Hazards may inherent in travel by boat, train, road and other vehicles aircraft and other means. Hazards may also arise out of the forces of nature, political unrest, accident or illness in remote areas without means of immediate evacuation or medical facilities. The company’s liability to passengers is dictated by appropriate laws of the country in which the tour takes place. However, the company accepts no responsibility for any personal illness, injury, delays, loss or damages from any cause whatsoever. You are therefore advised to take adequate insurance against such risks on your own. Our staff will be at hand to assist you with the information on the services available locally. 

Alteration to tours:

The company reserves the right to alter arrangements of the route or to cancel the operation of a scheduled tour should conditions necessitate such as weather or political issues etc. 

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation must be received in writing and any monies paid will be refunded less the cost of cancellation levied by hotels or other parties. In the event of such cancellation, the following charges will apply:

  • 0 – 20 Days prior to Safari no Amount is
  • 20 Days – 60 Days Prior to Safari, A credit Note will be issued to be utilized with no Cancelation fees applied or you will be refunded less 50% of the tour price
  • More than a Year The Deposit will be refunded less $60 Administration fee with 5% Transaction Charge.

Special Requests:

All special requests must be notified in writing when the booking is made. This may include single rooms, diet, infants; physically challenged persons etc. whilst the company will endeavor to meet such requests they cannot be guaranteed and failure to fulfill will not be in breach of contract.

Complaints:

It’s the sincere hope of this company that our clients will not encounter any problems during their holiday. However, should any arise please immediately advise any of our staff of the service in question, as most of the problems can be resolved straightaway. The company will accept only complaints notified in accordance with this clause.
